Let me give you a back story. We were browsing through houses on Zillow and came across one that we thought (at the time) was our dream home. It was a new build, classy, had lake access, quiet-ish neighborhood, etc. This house is what we compared all other houses to, however it was well above budget and had been snatched up the same day we wanted to view it. So we reached out to an agent through Zillow, not knowing that it would link us to Michelle. We had no set place we wanted to live, just as long as it was within distance from both our jobs. Fast forward a bit, she showed us a couple of houses without us being pre-approved at the time. We in all fairness could have been wasting her time, but she never once made us feel like we were lesser than. She was knowledgeable of each property, she answered our never ending questions and if there was something she didn't know, she would research it or find out. When the Mortgage Company we had been in contact with us ghosted us, I expressed our frustrations to Michelle. She suggested that we contact a company that she's worked with personally and professionally. We were pre-approved the day we filled out an application. At the beginning of September, we had 2 houses lined up to see in person. The morning of, we found 1 more house that popped up and I immediately contacted Michelle to see if we could add it to the list. It was over an hour away from the houses we were set to see. Let me tell you, not only did she fit us in to see this house...but this ended up being THE house of our dreams. The overwhelming sense of H-O-M-E when we walked through the front door. We immediately fell in love and put in an offer as soon as we left the property. Everything from then has been rather smooth sailing and an absolute blessing. Michelle is a shark with competitive comps, negotiating and researching to get you, the buyer everything you want/need/deserve. She is a sweetheart, however she tells you things you need to know and not always things you may want to hear. When you're buying a house, you definitely need the honest truth. She will travel anywhere you ask her, is always available when you need her (but she's only human and has a family so we try not to bug her too much) and I would trust her time and time again with anything we may need in the future. Cameron was great throughout our whole homebuying process. At the start of our shopping we brought the homes we were interested in to him, and he did his due diligence and sent us additional information on the ones we were curious about. He gave us advice on the ones that did not fit what we were looking for. He contacted the sellers for our final choice to get more information on specific concerns. He was always quick to respond to us, even after hours in some cases. We had a large distance radius that he worked with us on, driving an hour away to meet us. We've heard of other realtors that would just not leave their clients alone, constantly pushing them to converse and look at properties in order to make a sale (which might be what some other people want). I think cameron has good people skills as he matched our pace and he was never pushy to go look at anything. We wanted to bring the property inquiries to him at our own pace and I think he picked up on that from the start. When we found the perfect fit, he explained why it was time to jump on it, and we went to view it the next day. He was patient to let us see everything we wanted on the property and gave us advice on securing our offer. When we figured out there was an issue with our pre-approval he set us up with someone who could get us approval last minute so we didn't lose the property we wanted. We also failed to get an inspectionist in a timely manner for the home and septic, so he was able to contact and get one of his sources to inspect immediately! Finally, when issues arose during the final appraisal, a week before closing, he negotiated for us and expressed our demands with the sellers/listing agent. Ultimately he left all final decisions to us, and acted as our advisor in all areas. He made the process as smooth as it can be and if it weren't for his advice to jump on the great deal we found, I'm sure we would still be looking!! We are so happy with his work! He was also very personable and we enjoyed the small talk throughout the business process. Lastly, during closing we had no idea what we were doing, as it was our first time. In the room with the closing agent, he stayed by our side the whole time, meanwhile the sellers' agent left their room multiple times (leaving the sellers alone with the agent they didn't know). As a first time home buyer, the process of finding the right home, putting in an offer, and officially making a purchase was naturally a bit intimidating. From first contact with Jason till we closed on our house, he has been a great source of information and candor. He genuine listened to us as we talked about what we were looking for in a new home, as well as what we did and did not like about each house we visited. As a first time home buyer, I was extremely nervous with the lack of knowledge I had on the process of buying a home, putting down a bid, the works. Working with Robert was the single most best decision I ever made putting this process in his hands to get me to the closing table. He explained the process in a way I could understand, and he was very immediate with his responses to questions or concerns I had about the property. Along with his extraordinary talent in this business, he also knows a lot of great contacts such as inspectors and contractors that he has worked with in the past, that will help you continue on even after closing to make your home the best it can be. In a chance meeting we met Robert while looking at model homes. The definition of approachable and friendly, he struck up a conversation about what we had seen, what we were looking for and what we wanted to avoid. Then and there he made a couple calls to address questions we had about the model we were in and suggested a couple other homes he thought we might be interested in. We didn’t find what we were looking for that day, but Robert kept in touch and didn’t let us give up when it seemed what we wanted just wasn’t out there. In the end, Robert assisted us with BOTH selling our home and buying an almost finished new build we were crazy about. When he showed up to discuss listing our home, he knew more about our neighborhood than we did after living there 18 years! I’m convinced this is largely what helped us sell quickly: Robert knew the perfect price point to list at based on our area and recent sales AND walked us through the data he’d researched to come to his suggestion. He wants to be a part of helping you prepare, present and sell your house…he’s not just “a realtor” showing up to list a house. He was accessible night and day and really made us a priority and did so with a killer smile. I’m not sure he sleeps! When it came to working with the builder on a nearly finished home, we couldn’t have asked for a better advocate who leapt over obstacles in a single bound! He really helped smooth over a few bumps we encountered and we couldn’t be more grateful. The only downfall is we love our new house so much we probably won’t get to work with Robert again for a long time! Robert was a pleasure to work with and made my selling and purchasing transactions by far, the best I’ve ever had. As I was searching for available homes at 1AM, Robert was the first to respond just minutes after I sent my inquiry. From there, he was extremely helpful and responsive in getting my wife and I a scheduled viewing. He helped us through the entire process from making an offer to the purchase, using his recommendations for lending and other services that take the stress out of home buying…he’s like a one stop shop which was very convenient.
